Musicians

Hailing from Western North Carolina, Wintervals carefully crafts swaths of sweet harmonies and intricate instrumentation, to create their own blend of Folk, Indie and Americana music. Since its inception in, the band has garnered critical and commercial success throughout WNC, with favorable comparisons to Natalie Merchant, Jason Isbell, Mazzy Star, Mandolin Orange, The Civil Wars and more. With two full-length studio albums under their belt; 2015’s Can’t Win For Losing, and 2017’s Wilderness, the former of which, voted one of Mountain Xpress’ “Top 5 Dreamiest Local Album Releases of 2015” in Asheville, NC, the band continues to tour throughout North America.

When the sounds of John Mayer, Switchfoot, and the Allman Brothers collide with fierce guitar work and catchy songwriting, you start a band. That’s just what WNC heavy hitting guitarist and songwriter Jim Beaver has done with Jim Beaver Band. Solid melodies, groovy tunes and entertaining musicianship mark this quartet of players, and they’re just getting started!

Jim Beaver has been a session and for hire guitarist since the late 90’s. He has performed all across the southeast and midwest, appeared on dozens of recording projects, and taught guitar lessons for the past 25 years. Jim has performed on television, professional theatre productions, written and recorded music for movie soundtracks, and written/co-written with some of WNC’s most prominent artists.

After a hiatus spent building the largest music school in Hendersonville, NC, Jim is back in the saddle writing, recording, and performing his brand of fiery, soulful guitar and catchy melodies for audiences near and far. Featuring Kyle Bartley on Drumset, Kenny Enclade on Bass Guitar, Jamison Adams on Guitar, Trumpet, and Keys, and of course Jim himself fronting and playing guitar.
